Christmas past...Christmas present

As I was looking back at pictures today of the holiday season it was amazing how much has stayed the same, but yet much has changed. For the last 5 years the tree has stayed in the same spot with the same lights, and the same ornaments, but the little person putting on the star has grown slightly.

The princess's fascination with the actual Christmas tree has not changed, just how she poses...

In year's past the princess has helped put on the ornaments, while I ran around behind her and put them in more appropriate places. She never had a clue. Now she does, so for this season we will have a little bit of fraternization between Snow White and Frosty the Snowman! My husband "gently" reminded me that this is not just my Christmas tree so I'll just have to shield my eyes this year.

It appears that we are no longer the only picture takers. The princess has developed quite a fascination with our camera and loves to take our Canon S5 (which makes me very nervous) and shoot pictures. Here's some of her finest work today.

These last few are just for my family or those who have seen this face before...we should have known when she was 2 she was going to have those "Bekah eyes" that can work over the best of us.

Finally, this is what we will miss most this Christmas season. I can't wait for some "awesomeness" next year.

Well, if little snowmen with raven black hair and rose red lips appear under the Christmas tree, you know why. Consider yourself warned.
