Ringing It In

Now that you've watched this very short excerpt from my life you know what I did tonight. Except multiply her horn by about 20!

Tonight we made our first trip the Garner's 3rd Annual New Year's Eve Bash. It was basically a New Year's Party geared toward anyone under the age of 6. It had wide open spaces for playing, a bounce house, and of course a play place. There was food and cake. To top it off they dropped balloons and confetti from the ceiling around 6:45 p.m. Who needs to wait for midnight. It's all ready 2009 in my world!!

The funny story from the evening was after the balloon drop. Kids are running everywhere trying to pop all the balloons. The princess on the other hand is running around trying to "save" the balloons. At one point she had 6 clutched in her hands. She could NOT comprehend WHY someone would want to pop a perfectly good balloon. So we had a quick learning moment about how sometimes what we see as fun might not be fun to another person, etc. I spent the rest of the night "guarding" the two balloons that she had managed to secure so that they would not reach an untimely death and we made it home with those.

Hope your 2009 starts off with a bang. (And if you need an obnoxious horn I know where you can find a few!)
