I always liked school, but I don't think I ever loved it as much as the princess. When we pulled into the parking lot on Monday night for Open House, the princess exhaled deeply and said, "I can't believe we are finally here!" It was like she has been holding her breath since the last day in June and was finally able to relax again.
Today she was up at 5:50 for a 7:20 departure time! She was completely ready for school, minus her breakfast, by the time I dragged myself out of bed! If only I could bottle that enthusiasm and save it for the teen years!
